Print Head Jamming during allignment

When I start a print head alignment the print head moves all the way to the left side of the printer starts making a noise like it is striping gears for a few seconds and then stops and gives me the two red lights. It doesn't give me any explanation in the status monitor. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

It could be the home position sensor or a dry carriage guide shaft. I would clean and oil the carriage guide shaft first. Use a good quality oil. NOT WD-40 3 in 1 or something like that.

Thanks, I will make sure that it is clean and then lubricate it with some light sewing machine oil. I'll also look into the home position sensor.
