Message re printerhead

One colour - Photo black - is not printing. After cleaning etc. I got the onscreen message that 'Parts inside my printer are at the end of their service life. See your printer documentation

What does this mean please? Plus I don't have any documentation.

One possibility is that the digital counter, which tracks how much ink has been put into the waste pads, has reached its cut off value. I have the service manual, if you are interested, which explains how to replace the pads.

You can reset the counter, there is a software for windows (I think it only works on XP and win 7) that can reset the counter:

As long as there comes no ink out of the printer you do not need to replace the inkpads.

But you could also add some pipes to lead the waste/cleaning ink outside the printer. Therefore you have to open the right side cover of the printer.
