LaserWriter Pro 600 Multipurpose tray not feeding

The subject line says it all. Paper feeds fine from the tray underneath the printer, but it will not feed from the multipurpose tray. Do I need to replace or adjust the pick-up assembly somehow?

Thanks!

Melissa

There's no adjustment. It could be a problem with the MF tray sensor. The paper pushes against an arm and blocks/unblocks an optical sensor. It could be a worn MF pickup roller. Does the printer try to pull the paper in?

Moe,

Yes, the printer tries to pull the paper in. If I bend the edge of the paper just right and twitch it with my finger at just the right time, the paper will feed (sometime). After 2 or 3 tries, I can print envelopes this way, but it is a serious pain.

Sound like the MF pickup roller to you? If so, do you have a kit that I can install?

Thanks a lot,

Melissa

There are 3 rollers that pull the paper in. Not something that the average tech could even replace. My suggestion is to buy our $1 rubber rejuve kit and try it on the rollers. You can reach them by taking out the toner cartridge and drum unit.
