Compuprint Compuprint Pagemaster 422

compuprint pagemaster 422 error message

getting an error message on my printer
does anyone know what it means

error 32

You have an old TEC1305 engine. A 32 error would probably indicate a burned out lamp in the fuser assembly. It is not a fun job replacing the lamp. They didn't build those printers for ease of maintenance.

In our shop, we have just about everything. We have a few of those TEC engines lying around. I have no idea where to get lamps for those, but they seldom go bad. In fact, yours is one of the few I know of to go bad. We probably have a lamp or used fuser assembly lying around the shop. Your on your own replacing it because it would be too much trouble to shoot a one time video that we couldn't market. It's really not that great a printer. You're going to have problems getting a driver for it, the toner developer might be bad, the drum might be expired. The printer will shut down at a predetermined page count and force you to replace the drum. If it were me, I'd take the $10 loss and be more careful in the future. My practice is to never buy a printer that isn't HP. We sell quite a few refurbished printers in our shop starting at $99 for an HPII. We're going to put some on our specials page soon. - moe
