HP LJII Jams on exit
My HP Laserjet II jams when the paper exits. I doesn't come out at all through the normal exit path. If the straight path is chosen, it seems to be fine until the final 2-3 inches.
Changing the cartridge has no effect. The transport until the exit works fine.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Sounds like a bad 14 tooth gear in the fuser assy. To prove it, rotate the gear on the top right side of the fuser with your fingers. It should rotate smoothly. If it crunches, binds or spins freely, you need to replace the 14 tooth gear below it.
Sorry, I'm new at this. Doe's this mean it needs
the exit jam repair kit, or a refurbished fuzer
assy? Thanks
