What solvent to use on the image drum to safely remove what looks like letterhead melt? Alchohol doe not touch it.
That's what we use. 99\% isopropyl or methyl
alcohol. Cotton cloths and nothing abrasive. Anything else will probably destroy the photoconductor. We have replacement drums, but it is extremely difficult to change them. I would not advocate you even attempt it because you would probably destroy the cartridge doing so.

Success. I tried cleaning with 95 proof alcohol. It just took more soaking time than expected.
