Apple Laser Writer Select

I have a LaserWriter Select (360 I think) that has been out of commission for about a year now. It does not detect that it has paper and will not do anything. Where can I start looking to try and fix this printer problem?
There is a paper sensor arm that hangs down into the paper tray. Remove the tray and see if the arm moves freely and is still there. There are also some tray detect switches on the right side all the way back. Check to see if they are mangled. Does it feed out of the manual tray? The only do it yourself repair kit we offer on the Apple Select is for the print fade on the right side that they commonly have. Click on the "Printer Repair Kits" link above ^ for more info.
