Epson 2400 waste ink tank full?

My epson Epson R2400 leaks ink every time I run a cleaning cycle. The only thing I can think of is that the waste ink tank is full. I've searched online on how to empty that but to no avail. Is this what is actually happening? Can someone point me in the right direction on how to empty it? Are there maintenance manuals available?

Thanks,

JB

The "waste tank" is actually just a foam sponge cut to fit space under the print head travel. If you're careful you can get it out with a pair of long ! tweezers, rinse it in water and dry it. It may come out in pieces...assemble them as a template to make a new one or try to buy a new one on- line. Before putting it back in clean the whole region under the head travel as best you can with plenty of paper towels. This is a messy job, so prevention will save a lot of cleanup. Good luck.
